Witching Hour is a VR Horror experience where you venture a hedge maze located in a graveyard where you experience paranormal activity.
You explore the graveyard and maze using a flashlight and walkie-talkie as your only light and communication as you attempt to make it to the other side.
My Roll for this game was Solo Developer (Programming, Design).
The Art Assets were from free-to-use assets.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
I built this experience using the Godot Game Engine using the XR Tools add-on. Despite the Godot VR community being very small I found this add-on very well developed & I am glad to have contributed to the growing number of XR projects in Godot.
This was my first time ever creating anything for VR so there was a lot of unique challenges I faced during development.
A unique challenge of VR is that it can be hard to predict where the players attention is at anytime, this one of the major issues I had to overcome during development but I feel I did a good job of guiding the player through the goal of the game as well as the most interesting content without ruining immersion.
This project was developed using no AI. I used assets that were available for public use with the original sources all cited on the Itch.io page.
Developed from 10th March 2025 - 13th May 2025.
Overall I found this game to be a fun and interesting experience for me due to it being VR.
I had never thought of developing a VR game before so I am really happy I had a chance to develop something for that technology.
I am particularly proud of the flashlight, despite being simple it has a lot going on behind the scenes.
I regret not having enough time to develop a proper enemy with a enemy A.I as I just could not find the time amongst dealing with all the level design and VR complications.
