My name is Cody Mills and I'm a indie game developer.
I have a huge passion for all type media but especially video games.
Some of my favourite video games are 'Dark Souls', 'Outer Wilds' & 'LISA'.
I love open-source software and customisation with my game engine of personal choice being Godot.
I work on a lot of personal projects in my own time but I believe that I also fit well within a collaborative team.
I make game development videos in my free time showcasing personal projects and Game Jams (You can find the channel here).
Along with these game development videos I also post weekly progress updates on the 'Weekly Updates' tab of this site.
I have worked with large development teams like Box Bug Studios.
For most of my Projects I make games for my own Studio New Groove Studios.
I want to show my game development journey, warts and all, so I have projects that I am not proud of and have even abandoned where I talk about why I abandoned them and where I went wrong and most importantly, what I learnt from the experience to further myself.
SKILLS
My discipline of choice is primarily Programming, mechanics, systems & A.I to be specific, with me having strong knowledge of C++, C#, GDScript (which is an offset of Python), HTML & CSS.
